Angel's Peak Red

 

PROTECTED GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATION MACEDONIA

 

Artistic: A complex wine in regard to its varieties, it combines the local varieties Xinomavro and Negoska with the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. A strong wine that needs time in order to mature in bottle.

 

Vinification: Classical method of red wine vinification with wild yeast. Production 7000 kilos per hectare.

 

Wine characteristics: Vivid red colour with violet-coloured reflections. Botanic character to the nose - green pepper and sun-dried tomatoes but also clove, cinnamon and black pepper. The aroma of the black pepper gives it presence and adds to the taste. Burnt nuts and flavorings complete the aromatic palette inside the mouth. Rich and well-built, with vivid tannic character which gives a long length of life to it. In the end it reminds the character of the oak barrel with notes of coffee and tobacco.
